very interesting and great things on display
I have to say that I was saddened to hear that it could have been closed. People should really go visit. Guaranteed you will find something for everyone
Really good displays. The gift shop is a shocking wasteland of leftovers. How are you going to keep going if you don't sell gifts to supplement the displays
Great. A surprising find in Wisbech. Friendly peeps, interesting exhibits and ancient reptiles (not dinosaurs - don't get that wrong!)
A fine museum of the old school variety. Tens of thousands of artifacts behind wavy glass cases. It's ideal for the quick visit to see a few items of local interest at a time. In an odd way, it's ideal for children. It doesn't require attention span to enjoy and wisely there is good dinosaur section! The slave trade exhibit is handled well. Few politics and much empathy. Children will grasp the essentials quickly. For adults the displays are eclectic and well connected to Fens life of the last few thousand years. It would take dozens of visits to check out each item. For those wanting serious research, book a time with the curator to use the search room. Commercial, legal and parish records available no other way are here. The curator himself knows the questions you didn't know to ask.Admission is free but be sure to leave 5 per adult in the gift box to sustain this local treasure.
